Chicken Wings Adventures

So, I just decided recently that I liked chicken wings. Seeing as I always do what I want and like, decided to try multiple places and try to pick one place I can visit more than the rest. 

I had wings from a lot of places, but I have picked just a few (popular and not). I'll use these benchmarks to make it easier to go through. 

- Flavour

- Consistency

- Cost

1) Wingsville, Lekki
F: Saw them on IG. The wings were not properly marinated to the bone, by the time I was done with the body the chicken was slightly raw. I tried 4 flavours. 

C: Tried it just one time, can't bring myself to go back.

C: The price was about N4000/20 pieces. For Lagos joints, that bout the average price 

Overall verdict 3.5/10

2) Urban Fuxion
F: All Star basically, most value for wings purchased. Grilled to the bone, complimentary fries, sauces and bottled water. Downside one flavour. Packaging also on point

C: Been more times than I can count. Very consistent 

C: Good value for money spent. N3900/20wings

Overall verdict 8.5/10

3) Aunt Yanju (Honourable Mention)

F:Was at my aunt's place for a birthday, and there was this Bbq Wings tray on the table..BRUH! Went hard on it and found that she made it. 

C: Home made. Had it twice after the first time, quality on point. 

C: FREEEE lol

4) Wings n Sides
F: Done well. Had the buffalo wings and lemon pepper wings. Buffalo smudged over. No fries or water included, even as it's the more expensive option. One issue I had was they didn't snip the tips of the wings. Urghh

C: Only been once, will try again and update. 

C: Think it was N4500/18wings and you're only allowed 2 flavours. 

Overall Verdict 6/10

5) Hubmart, Ikeja
F: On its good day (Sunday after 2nd service at 10:30am), it is amazing. Marinated with some kind of peppery BBQ sauce which is amazing. So tender you don't really have to bite into it, just peels itself off

C: Not Consistent. Any other day and easily a miss. 

C: 5pieces for N800

Overall verdict 6.5/10

 
6) Radisson Blu Ikeja
F: The hottest Bar Bites ever. Slightly basic as well. The pepper literally makes you see fire. 

C: Not a pepper person, a taste was enough. Curious thing though; if you eat at Iyeru Okin buffet, the wings are much much better 

C: Bar Bites cost an average of. N4000. You get maybe 8 or more wings, can't remember.

Overall Verdict 5/10

 
7) Bottles Restaurant 

F: The Tuesday wings and beer special has been my best wings outing ever.

C: I think they rotate 4 flavors but they damn well made.

C: For 7500, all you can eat wings

Overall Verdict 8.7/10

I found out how much ½ Kilo of chicken wings is, lets just say I've started exploring how to make mines at home henceforth.
