Breakfasting at The Crockpot

Breakfast: the first meal of the day, most
often eaten early in the morning before undertaking the day’s work. Slight
English class before we begin.
The first time I had breakfast at ‘The
Crockpot’ was maybe 2 years (or more) ago, and ever since I’ve been there at
least one Saturday a month.
Food
Buffet food is commonly thought about for
its lack of individual attention to food preparation because of the quantity
the kitchen has to go through to satisfy everyone coming. The food is quite
decent and tastes okay; personally I usually just have the Crepes/Pancakes,
Bacon, and Pan-fried fish (over and over).
Reason, after taking these three food items
my mind registers the rest under “Morning Food”. These include Yam, Fish Sauce,
Akara, Ogi, Plantain (Lowkey listed everything in the menu lol); I don’t
like them on a normal day anyways.
Ambience
The Crockpot just renovated after a long
while. The previous décor looked like what the main lobby is now, mad tired and
dated. The staffs are always ready to help with tea or coffee, or in my case,
helping to fry sausages (which they grill and present).
Cost
Financial cost – N7,500 per Human. The first time I
went to Sheraton for breakfast, I think it was N3,500 per person and the food
options were a LOT more than what is
being offered now. I guess with the renovations, new chafing dishes and Change Agenda, something has to balance the books.
Experience
Hmm, I’m usually conflicted by 3pm of every
Saturday I have breakfast here because I then ask myself if the minimum N15,000
(Brother and I) I spend was worth it. I didn't question this when it was cheaper, but now it does come up. I guess
its an okay place if you're trying to catch up with friends, and eat, in the morning.
I'm curious, what else does a breakfast menu have in it (outside what I have mentioned).
