Lunching at Casa Lydia, Ikoyi

Casa Lydia

19, Glover Road

Ikoyi, Lagos

Due to my day job as a Real Estate Consultant; with most of my work located in central Ikoyi area, Casa Lydia or Casa D'Lydia has become my go-to spot for a quick lunch. So naturally I have been here a pretty high number of times, and have laid to waste their menu.

Food
As always there are some items that keep me coming back regularly; one is the Cajun Pasta, second is the Shrimp Tangeriya. I wake some times and get a taste for either. The starters are pretty decent, with a mix of Oriental and Nigerian options. The main course is much broader, one shouldn't have any issues finding something decent to order.

I have had the Fish and Chips, the pasta options abovementioned, Dagwood Burger and 19 Glover Burger (which is great), Sea food platter, etc. The food has been consistent in its taste and how it makes me feel afterwards. I think I spent my time there today just dancing and eating away, very enjoyable.

Ambience
The staffs are always on hand to get you whatever it is you might need. Not very chatty when it comes to explaining the menu options. I totally love the music here, always have my Shazam on finding new tunes. The décor needs a bit of work tho, or maybe it is just the table cloths that need to go. I personally like very cold restaurants, Casa needs a new A/c guy very bad.

Cost
Love that casa is affordable for island standards; you can have a nice meal or two without fear that you won't be able to fuel the car on your way home (it's a thing). From N4500 you can have the Cajun Pasta, and it can go higher depending on how you're feeling. Bom valor!

Experience
As long I can get past where to sit because of the air-conditioning issues, I don't have anything else that comes in the way of me having a good time. It's a nice place to have drinks, some bar bites and just relax after the long working day.
Whatever you do, don't order the Mango Margarita. Confused drink. 👊
